I'm going on a journey, my friend,
I'm not sure when I'll be back again.
Peace and tranquility is what I seek,
To be alone and hear no-one speak.

I think it will have to be the ocean,
I long for its simple harmonic motion.
I'll sit by the water's edge and reflect,
And let the waters take their effect.

I have some rebuilding to do, you see,
To try to regain what's left of me.
I mistakenly let my heart out to play,
I never should have let it stray.

Years ago, it was torn to shreds,
It's been held together by the weakest threads.
And now it seems to be broken again,
So one more time, I need to mend.

Just a little time away,
Is all I need to sit and pray.
Peace and solitude will I need,
To let all the pain and hurt recede.

I'll be back, when I think it's time,
Only when I'll be in my prime.
Until then, you won't see me,
But know that this is where I need to be.

Let me carry your good wishes with me,
I'll need them when I reach my destiny.
When I return, I promise you,
My heart will be as good as new.....
