you feel so very near,
I close my eyes,

hoping for an answer,
but knowing I whisper in vain.

there is sometimes an emptiness inside,
for I fear the consequences of feelings,
for they may be lost in foolish pride.

I imagine your warm touch,
long for you so very close to me
but I fear that asks too much.

In the soft light of dawn,
my thoughts and feelings I fear,
for I dont truly know,
if I can ever make them clear.

I pray to God up above,
that He will show you how to feel,
