Listen to the cry of the Night Shadows...hear them
sing to you...the fears the tears..all the things of the
night seem to creep around you as the sun slides into
the darkness...
Alone I set...alone and dream...where is the happiness I was promised? For did not you say you
would never leave me? Did not your promise of love
reach into my heart and make it feel alive?
As the winds come..as the night covers the earth... I
can remember the sound of your voice..the feel of your skin as you touched my face..the gentle breath
as you whispered the words I ache so to hear again.
I hear your footsteps at the top of the stairs..and raise to see you there..only to find the empty shadow
and darkness.
I fall into a sleep so empty ..so dark..no rest..only the torment of the Night Shadows...I beg for the sunlight.
I pray that again the day will bring the answers to which I seek..each day I begin anew..with hopes..
with my dreams...waiting for the answer...waiting for your hand to reach for me..to take this ache from my soul....till I see the sun..the life...the the freshness of day...fall again...and again I must face the torment of the damned Night Shadows.....................alone.
