Once upon a time
In a land of far away
Was a castle on a mountain
Where a princess went to stay.
It was a fairytale of love
Filled with fantasies and such.
There were clouds of cotton candy
Soft and pink that she could touch.
The nights were filled with moonlight
And sparkling stars to light her way.
The prince fulfilled her every wish
As they spent their nights at play.

The days were filled with sunshine
With the love that they had found.
The trees were filled with songbirds
Songs of angels were their sounds.
The princess thought for sure
They would always have the laughter.
She took it all for granted
That they'd live happily ever after.
Alas! She found herself in dreamland
All alone beneath the moonbeams.
Their castle built on stardust
And her prince... only in her dreams.
