Lying in thought here all alone,

drifting to the first moment I remember you.

As though the earth breathed a silent shudder,

the essence of this soul born within me anew.

Saw the world only through you,

felt your touch, though you were not there,

Heard the words you whispered ever so softly.

carried into my dreams so completely unaware.

Just look over your shoulder,

in a sweet dream you will then feel me.

A breathless sigh away from your desires,

letting go of the magic that sets us free.

Captured for the very first time,

by the gifts you gave of the stars and moon.

I know we are different, so others will say,

but what do they know of season's monsoon.

Folded in embrace, bodies merging,

lying with you, who cares if the sky falls.

As long as you keep the faith, hold on tight.

no more darkened rooms filled with empty halls.

Always safe in the warmth my heart,

and perhaps there is no need to understand,

This wondrous feeling we have stumbled upon,

neither sought out destiny's unknown plan.
