Time has passed,
since you went away,
but deep inside my heart
a part of you remains to this day.
The love we shared was a whirlwind,
full of laughter and tears,
we thought we were invincible,
and would share our remaining years.
You taught me so much,
showed me places I'd not seen,
introduced new beauty in this world,
made reality of my dreams.
What happened or went wrong,
only we both truly know,
both of us regretting,
that we let what we had go.
The heat of angry words,
caused such hurt and pain,
we slowly realized we'd lost all,
leaving nothing left to gain.
Now as I see a sunset,
or forms in the clouds above,
